Bus stop.
So I live on the north campus but all of my classes are on the south campus. There is a university bus that goes back and forth between both campuses at certain times.
Of course, on my first day of class, I missed the bus leaving the north campus and the next one wouldn't leave for another two hours...the international student office told me the departure time for the bus is 7:20am, but it's actually 7:10am.
Whatever. I took a taxi to the south campus.
Also, the bus stop on the north campus is not marked? So my roommate and I went around and had to ask like five different people if they knew where it was. But that's how a lot of things work around here -shrug-
In my Contemporary Chinese Literature class (中国现代文学)
If I'm being perfectly honest, idk about this degree program and my classes, man. The being in school and learning part is fun, but I don't know if I will be able to pass the classes. But all I can do is try my best.
Lunch
烤冷面 (kao leng mian, it literally translates as 'fried cold noodles'? But I feel like that doesn't make sense given that they are not cold when you eat them because they are fried. Maybe a better way to explain it is that the noodles they start out with are uncooked?)
Anyways, I'm pretty sure I ate this before in Nanchang without knowing what it was.
Just a typical day in China. I think.
No idea what was going on. It was rush hour though, maybe that?
This was on the bus from the south campus to the north campus.
More expensive than I wanted to pay, but my roommate and I often order takeout 外卖 😅
This was our order on her phone.
